A Worthy Cause to Sing For

KindredSPIRITS, a non-profit humanitarian organization that inspires and educates diverse communities to support global partners in their efforts to heal the world, recently put on a show reflective of their work in downtown Los Angeles to benefit individuals afflicted with cancer.

KindredSPIRITS presented its sixth annual gala concert June 23 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

The concert benefited the Cancer Support Community. Besides th gala fundraising event, the KindredSPIRITS concert also saluted and honored Susan Love, M.D., President of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and Grammy Award-Winner Melissa Manchester.

The acclaimed KindredSPIRITS concert featured performances by Melissa Manchester, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, musical theatre performer Ilysia Pierce, gospel soprano Dr. “Dee” Diane White Clayton, renowned tenor Ilan Davidson and the Faithful Central Bible Church Gospel Choir.

The concert also included a choir made up of cancer survivors and their families. Additionally, Spanish composer Lucas Vidal (Fast and Furious 6, The Raven), the IFMCA-nominated breakout composer of the year (2011) and cancer survivor, showcased a new orchestral piece at the concert.

KindredSPIRTS produces these types of annual world-class concert events to raise significant financial contributions and awareness for select beneficiary organizations.

Celebrities and renowned performers join together to provide outstanding entertainment to the events’ diverse audiences, developing close and harmonious relationships among all faith and ethnic communities, as the performances celebrate our kindred spirits.

KindredSPIRITS honors those who have dedicated their lives to humanitarianism with the KindredSPIRITS Humanitarian Award.
