The 2013 ESPY Awards have come and went. Now football season is bearing down upon us with NFL training camps getting popping this week. Before the players hot the field field with their coaches and teammates, many NFL stars came out to Southern California to wind down and relax with a full slate of celebratory events to enjoy.
The ongoing celebration of food, music and entertainment event brought out a bevy of high-profile professional athletes and celebrities.
Making the rounds to the Playboy Mansion for the event included the likes of Snoop Dogg, singer Chris Brown, actor/comedian Chris Rock, Corey Feldman and NFL stars such as Brandon Marshall (Chicago Bears), Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia Eagles), Denver Broncos All-Pro stud Von Miller, NBA hoopster Corey Brewer, actor Richard Brooks (Being Mary Jane) and Olympic silver medalist Kim Glass.
Even Los Angeles Dodgers and Major League Baseball hitting sensation Yasiel Piug made it down to the big house.
The stars loaded up with bags of goodies after walking the red carpet before they entered inside the party atmosphere of the Playboy Mansion. Many of the NFL players walking the red carpet talked about the upcoming season, how they’ve been working out and what they expect to accomplish.
But on a side note, some athletes spoke out on a highly controversial social issue gripping the nation: the outcome of the George Zimmerman “not guilty” verdict in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Of course, like the rest of the country, players were split about their opinions on the subject. Other than that topic, both athletes and celebrities alike had a mission to get their party on. That is something they did do.
