GBK, the luxury lifestyle gift lounge and special events company honored the 2014 Emmy Award nominees and presenters at the annual GBK Gift Lounge on August 22 and 23 in the Beverly Hills luxury, L’Ermitage Hotel.
Since the year 2000, founder and CEO, Gavin B. Kelly of GBK, has been celebrating award shows with charity fundraising and luxury, gift give away for celebrities and VIP guests.
Celebrities like Selenis Leyva (Orange is the New Black), Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) and Megan Hayes (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) just to name a few were in attendance for this year’s GBK Gift Lounge.
“GBK is so amazing! This is my second lounge. They bring together the most amazing stuff and the whole event is really, really fun and is a great way to try new stuff, see new stuff and get new stuff in the most fun way possible,” said actress Megan Hayes.
The gifts varied from skincare, jewelry, spa treatments, snacks and more. The value of everything this year’s GBK Gift Lounge had to offer was over 50 thousand dollars. The ultimate goal of each retailer at the event is to receive celebrity endorsements, word of mouth, or a news story to make their business the next big thing.
Entertainment marketing organization, The Artisan Group, offers beautiful handcrafted jewelry, bath products and fine art photography. Each of which is created by different artist all around the world. Each artist is hand selected by invite only and a lot of their work has been featured on television shows, such as Scandal, The Voice and The Vampire Diaries. The Artisan Group provided gift bags filled with handcrafted products, valued at nearly $900. Each one of their handcrafted items has its own uniqueness with an outstanding quality.
Although receiving gifts are always fun, it is always better to give than receive. Twenty percent of GBK’s profits go to charities.
GBK partnered with a non-profit charity for this event, Cops4Causes. It is the first law enforcement, non-profit organization that highlights the philanthropic efforts of law enforcement.
Actor Jackson Rathbone found Cops 4 Causes to be his favorite charity at the GBK event.
“There are some amazing vendors, but one of my favorites is Cops 4 Causes. They have a campaign to send some cheer and love to the men and women in uniform serving all over the country and world for us. At the end of the day, it is all about respect and admiration,” said Rathbone.
On November 20, 2014, Cops 4 Causes will be gearing up for a “Heroes Helping Heroes” holiday benefit concert. The purpose of this concert is to help the homeless veterans and to launch their new program, with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to find homes for Commercial Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC).
