BUENA PARK, CA-Every year during the holiday season, Knott’s Berry Farm transforms itself into Knott’s Merry Farm. Catering to the festive time of year, Knott’s Merry Farm gets lit. The Buena Park theme park switch gears from its traditional atmosphere of the Western genre to featuring a guy wearing a red suit as a fashion centerpiece.
A romp through Knott’s Merry Farm’s idea of a winter wonderland shifts from re-enactments of wild, wild west shootouts to featured attractions such as “A Peanuts Guide to Christmas” to taking in the “Snow and Glow Show.” There are a lot of attractions to enjoy at Knott’s Merry Farm during the holiday season.

The winter wonderland in Buena Park is the place to be if you can’t make the drive down to Big Bear or anywhere near the Los Angeles mountains. Knott’s Merry Farm has all the wrappings of a fun present for the family. Since the holiday season is focused around family and giving and hanging out with the people you care the most about, Knott’s Merry Farm meets all of these needs in a lot of ways.
The place that best captures this figuration of imagination happens to take place at the Charles M. Shultz Theatre where the Snoopy Ice Show: Merry Christmas, Snoopy! occupies the stage. The show make any amount of money you spent inside of the re-visited Knott’s Merry Farm worth every penny.
The show is electric and diverse in its offering of it how ushers in the holiday season. For nearly an hour, the Snoopy Ice Show: Merry Christmas, Snoopy! performance brings the magic of Christmas to life with spectacular twirls, acrobatic jumps and great storytelling imagination. The best part of that is that the show does not get bogged down with one central narrative that could put a stump on its delivery.

What it does is incorporate multiple themes that keeps the audience from getting bored and the show pumping with energy. That is a good thing. Taking a page or two from different time periods, Snoopy Ice Show: Merry Christmas, Snoopy! runs through the Singin’ in the Rain playbook when musicals reigned supreme. From the wardrobe to the numbers performed on stage by a host of crack-the-whip ice skaters , a sense of nostalgia hits you like a punch in the gut, but in a good way.
There’s something special about recalling the memories of yesteryear, and this show does a pretty good of doing this. One of the centerpieces of Snoopy Ice Show: Merry Christmas, Snoopy!, which runs through Jan. 7, 2018, the show channels its roots all the way back to the reason for the season, highlighting the epicenter of Christianity when homage is paid to the birth of Christ.
This was not a show about religion. The show reflected the values of the One born in a manger: love, compassion and giving and sharing. Christmas comes but one time in a year, but when you see Snoopy Ice Show: Merry Christmas, Snoopy!, you’ll wish it came around a whole lot more.
