UCLA safety Quentin Lake earns major role in Bruins’ 2018 secondary

Sophomore safety Quentin Lake appeared in nine games for the 2017 Bruins as a reserve member of the secondary and with special teams. He attended Southern California high school football powerhouse Mater Dei and collected eight tackles on the 2017 season with UCLA. His father, Carnell Lake, played UCLA football from 1985 to 1988. Carnell holds a Bruin record of 45.5 tackles for loss throughout his collegiate career, in addition to playing 12 NFL seasons.
