Los Angeles-Award season is officially in full swing now that the fall season has rolled around. From the beginning of September to deep into the spring, awards season will once again feature the best of the best in show business. And once we can expect many red carpet events lined with beautiful women draped in some of kind of hot designer wardrobe.
The men, of course, will be decked out and making their own fashion statement as they travel the circuit of going from one awards show to another, looking fit and debonair in appropriate dress suits and fashion blazers. Oh, let’s not forget that the annual revelry of cinema and the arts would not be what it is without the presence of the very celebrities people worship and come to see making their fashion statements.
We’ve all come to expect Charlize Theron, Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep to step out and look glamorous. We know that big screen hunks like Johhny Depp and Matthew McConahuey will be stopping traffic when they walk down the red carpet. They all have one thing in common: great looking teeth and incredible makeup artists.

Behind every actor or actress there is always a great makeup artist standing in the wing to beautify them. But in a pre-Emmy event at the Grove in Los Angeles, Hollywood decided to flip the script and reached out to regular consumers to make them feel special. Lost in the awards show madness are the people who really make the stars who they are. Collier Strong is one of those people.
As a longtime consulting makeup artist for L’Oreal, and a man with the talent and skill to turn some of the most high-profiled and sought after celebrities, which include the late Elizabeth Taylor, into spectacularly beautiful kings and queens of the screen, Collier is renowned for his craft. At this particular event, Strong wasn’t there to pamper celebrities. Instead, Collier teamed up with Philips Zoom (Philips Oral Healthcare), the No.1 patient requested teeth-whitening brand in the United States, to hook up regular folks at the red carpet event with some unexpected treatment usually relegated to the stars.
Those lucky enough to find their way to be included in this special day were awarded with complimentary makeovers, a photo on the red carpet and an opportunity to revel in the moment. Some of the celebrities on hand that walked the red carpet and participated in the event were 90210’s Shenea Grimes, The Insider’s Keltie Colleen, Queer Eye’s Jai Rodriquez (and star of ABC’s upcoming Malibu Country), Former E! News host Debbie Matenopolous and Strong.
