Our Mission
News4usonline is a news-driven publication. We’re here to tell stories that reflect our mission. The mission of News4usonline is to report on the people, communities and issues that reflect who we are as a news outlet. The pulse of our work center on culture, community, sports, entertainment and civic awareness.
History
News4usonline was founded and created in 2011 by editor Dennis J. Freeman. Freeman wanted to create a website that was focused on presenting storytelling from a narrative of inclusion, community-directed and information-driven in the areas of sports, entertainment and society and lifestyle.
Our growth as a publication has risen significantly from a host of interns to solid contributors from all walks of life. During this period of growth, News4usonline.com has covered the Super Bowl, the World Series, NBA Finals and high-profile entertainment events such as the Daytime Emmys, NAACP Image Awards, and the SAG Awards.
We write and talk about sports, culture, and everything else in between. Our motto is simple: News About Us. News By Us. News for Us. Our stories. Our people. Our way. Community. Commentary. Connected.
Coverage Areas
We focus our coverage from a local, regional, statewide and national perspective. Our stories reflect what we cover. While our primary focus is hyper-local, our coverage is extended to a wider outreach and audience. While Southern California is our home base, because of social media, our reach touches markets beyond the borders of California.
There are plenty of great websites that can give you an up-to-the-minute report on sports and news. What we try to do here at News4usonline, is to deliver an alternative for readers. We give readers a much fresher narrative, much like chowing down a full-course Sunday meal: something slow and easy to digest.
At News4usonline, we believe we are the voices and the agents of change. We strive to do that through our sports and news coverage in the way of articles, videos and audio interviews. This includes tapping into the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball, and collegiate sports market, where Super Bowl LVI champs Los Angeles Rams roam. Our sports coverage also highlights the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Feedback and Corrections
To uphold our standard of striving to be excellent in our delivery of news content, we offer our audience the opportunity to take part in the editorial experience through corrections and feedback. For any factual errors and checking editorial content for corrections, please reach out to the editor at dfreeman@news4usonline.com. Any type of feedback is also welcome from our readers. The editor can also be reached through an alternative email at freeman.dennis7@gmail.com.
We consider ourselves as storytellers at News4usonline. We strive to uplift, inform, provoke, and encourage our audience through the content we bring to you. While sports, particularly in the Los Angeles market, is at the center of what we do, we also dive into societal-related issues such as racial justice, education, health, politics, and philanthropy.
By bringing in a broad crop of multi-ethnic voices through its internship program, along with a team of outstanding contributors, News4usonline is doing its part in improving those numbers. As a hyperlocal media outlet that features coverage of news, sports, entertainment, and society, the content News4usonline produces is a reflection of the publication’s commitment to inclusiveness.
We are the community that we cover. News About Us, News By Us, News for Us.
