INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The Josh Allen experience made its way to Inglewood, California. It was a memorable impression. Allen accounted for 424 yards in total offense and tallied six touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams in a losing effort. The Rams defeated the Buffalo Bills, 44-42.
“Got to make one more play than they do, however it may be,” Allen said afterward. “So again, it was a total team loss, three phases. We feel like we didn’t play up to our standard certainly.”
The Bills didn’t lose this game because of Allen. They were in it all the way through because of their gifted quarterback. At one point during the game, the Rams outscored the Bills 31-14 in the two middle quarters. Playing against most teams this may have been a certified blowout.

That formula was not going to work against the explosive Bills. Behind Allen’s right arm and feet, the Bills scored 21 fourth-quarter points and roared back from a 17-point deficit to stage an almost improbable win on the road.
“I mean, incredible,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said about his quarterback’s efforts. “We’ve got to do a better job around him. Like I said, if you look at the game, it’s the line of scrimmage, being able to run the ball with their running back. It’s the line of scrimmage on defense.”
“It’s special teams giving up big plays,” McDermott added. “When you lose two of the three, and the line of scrimmage overall, you’re making it really hard. You’ve got to score forty-something points and even then you’re holding your breath to win, right? ”
Allen was not impressed by the numbers that he put up. He’d much rather get the win.
“Hate losing,” Allen said. “You lose by 2, you lose by 100, it doesn’t matter you’re still losing. Offensively, you’ve got to find ways to score before the half and score after the half so we didn’t do our part.”

At 10-3, the Bills entered their Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Rams as one of the top teams in the NFL. They are the best team in the AFC East Division. As far as being real Super Bowl contenders there’s more to the hysteria than meets the eye.
Buffalo had reeled off seven straight wins before the Rams ended that streak at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. If not for some late-game magic between quarterback Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua, the Bills, the team responsible for handing Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs their only defeat, may have withstood the Rams’ scoring barrage.
Allen and his bandmates came into the game as the Big, Bad Wolf looking to huff and puff their badness and blow the SoFi Stadium house down much like they did in 2022.
Allen showed up and showed out that night, throwing for nearly 300 yards (297 yards) and three touchdowns. He also had 56 yards and another score rushing to power Buffalo to a 31-10 win.
“That was a humbling night,” McVay said earlier in the week. “I thought our defense did a good job that night of being able to take the football away. We weren’t able to capitalize offensively. They got the best of us. We all saw what a freak show [Bills QB] Josh Allen was in person and he’s probably playing even better than he was then. It sure says a lot about what he’s doing for this team.”
The Rams did just enough to offset what Allen did for his ballclub this time around. Allen had a monster game, completing 22 of 37 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for another 82 yards and three more scores.
Allen accounted for six touchdowns and he also produced a whole lot of “wow” moments.
“You see Josh Allen is an alien,” Rams head coach Sean McVay said. “Some of the stuff that he can do and the things that he can create, we knew he was capable of that. He’s shown that. It’s why he is as well respected and regarded in this league as he is. It’s all deserved and earned.”
