Los Angeles-Blake Griffin has taken his basketball skills to another level. Griffin is showing the world how hard he worked over the summer. He’s been a monster in every aspect of the game this season. If you have been keeping tabs on the potent power forward, I’m sure you have noticed an improvement in his jump shot, defense, and post game.

He’s flourished in all three areas so far this year. He’s averaging 22.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists. Griffin has also scored over 20-points in the past five games.

Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers like what he sees in Griffin.

“I’m so happy for him,” Rivers said. “He’s finding out that you can play defense and offense and still have energy. You can see he’s starting to enjoy defending. He’s enjoying getting stops. That’s good team-building. Blake being more open on the court triggers so many good things. It allows him and Jordan to be so good together and allows Chris to get in the paint.”

Griffin is ready to live up to the hype he was inclined to in 2009 when he made his NBA debut. After being criticized for being overrated over the years, it looks like he’s ready to put the naysayers to rest.

It’s still early, but this is an exceedingly good look for the team.

Since entering the league, Griffin has always been praised for his spectacular dunks and lob passes from teammates. He’s finally ready to take explore his athleticism.

The Clippers will need Griffin to perform at a high level every night. If he can stay on track, they will have a chance to be the best team in the West and possibly cause drama in the playoffs.

As you recall, Griffin was young when he was drafted and it takes time and patience to mature mentally and physically. He’s developing as a player game by game and is becoming the player you would build a franchise around.

“Every year I try to take another step, and this year is the same,” Griffin said. “I focus really on ‘help defense,’ which is huge in our system of trust and ensuring that someone always had your back. I take a lot of pride in defense, despite what it might look like.”

There has been concern and speculation that Griffin was a one-dimensional player. But things are changing slowly but shortly.

Nowadays you can look at him and detect that he has the potential to be an explosive player all over the court, and if he can remain consistent, the Clippers will find themselves in a place they have never been, Western Conference Finals.
