The LA Clippers picked up their 22nd win of the season with a 126-67 win over the Brooklyn Nets. It was the second win for the Clippers in as many games back at the Intuit Dome since their matchup with the Hornets was postponed due to the ongoing Los Angeles fires.
The 59-point win marks the largest margin of victory in the NBA this season.
“It was good for us to get our guys out and come out in that third quarter with a professional mindset,” said Ty Lue. “Our guys were able to get some rest going into a back-to-back tomorrow.”

The team is in the middle of a stretch where they must play six games in nine days due to rescheduling. The blowout win could not have come at a better time.
Kawhi Leonard saw his minutes slightly increase and came out attacking early. He scored four points in the first three and a half minutes of the game by hitting back-to-back 12-foot pull-up jumpers. He is active on the defensive end and looks explosive with the ball.
In 14 first-half minutes, Leonard scored 12 points, and the Clippers were +46 with him on the floor.
LA took a massive 102-51 lead over Brooklyn heading into the fourth quarter, allowing Ty Lue to rest his starters, but Leonard still logged 24 minutes. He finished the game with 23 points on 8-11 shooting from the field and 7-7 from the free throw line.
“He was really good. His pace, his force, how he got to his spots. We have to keep stacking these days, trusting him and believing in him. He has put the work in to get to this point, so tonight was a good test for him to go hard and test (his knee) out,” said Lue.

They are currently the fifth seed in the Western Conference and should have their eyes set on moving up in the standings now that their star player has returned.
Only two teams have ever won the NBA championship after finishing the regular season lower than third in the regular season standings, and both were the defending champions.
LA is only three games back from the Memphis Grizzlies for third, putting that goal within reach. Home-court advantage is more important than people think come postseason time, and there would be no better way to show off their new stadium than hosting several playoff series.
