LOS ANGELES,-Brentwood traveled to Foley Field on Windward’s campus with 95 degrees heat at game time. They used that heat to fuel them to a 43-14 road victory. Senior quarterback Eli Stern set the stage earlier with an emotional 49 yard broken pocket run for a touchdown, and emphatic spike of the football in end zone to fire up his team. This win now brings Brentwood to 4-1 record with bragging rights from this rivalry game.

Stern put his stamp on this game with 233 yards passing two touchdown in the air and two more rushing touchdowns. Windward’s only real respond during this contest was following Brentwood first touchdown they took only 2:02 of clock time. That lead to a 10-yard touchdown right up gut by Casey Webster #22 to tie score 7-7. But from then on Brentwood ripped off two more scoring plays before the first quarter was up 21-7 lead. The defense had one of the scores a 32-yard pick six by the safety Matthew Nyman to join the party.

Windward was lead by junior running back / linebacker Josh Chambers who seemed to get stronger as game went on in a losing effort. Brentwood’s defense and offense felt his hits and bone crushing short runs, just not enough as being the only shining star on the field. They had one other star off the field watch-Cuba Gooding Jr.-who could only watch the home team wish had more star power. Once Windward’s quarterback Kyle Brisacher went down they were forced to have Chambers run the wildcat offense with direct snaps to finish the game.
