Clippers, Intuit Dome receive awards

(News4usOnline) – The Los Angeles Clippers didn’t make it to the NBA Finals, but the team is getting a lot of attention in the offseason. First, the reunion of guard Chris Paul with the Clippers was probably the feel-good story of the summer.

Then the Clippers went out and got Bradley Beal for little or nothing to sign on with the team. Throw in center Brook Lopez as another addition to the ballclub, and the Clippers look as formidable as any in the Western Conference to contend for that coveted NBA title.

The good news for the Clippers keeps coming. After all of those player personnel moves, the Clippers recently became the recipients of a couple of awards.

Front Office Sports announced that Intuit Dome and the LA Clippers have received Front Office Sports Most Innovative Awards. Intuit Dome was named the Front Office Sports Most Innovative Venue of the Year, and the LA Clippers were named Front Office Sports Most Innovative Team of the Year.

In its first year, Intuit Dome hosted over 100 events including concerts, WWE, UFC and Clippers games, and has brought in over one million fans, while being named one of TIME’s Greatest Places in 2025.

Driven by Chairman Steve Ballmer’s bold vision to reinvent the fan experience, Intuit Dome was built different, a purpose-built basketball arena created from the ground up to bring fans closer to the game than ever before.

Led by CEO Gillian Zucker, Steve’s vision was executed with precision, delivering a first-of-its-kind venue that is now setting the standard across sports and live entertainment and is only getting started as it enters Year two.

Innovation is at the core of Intuit Dome, showcased through its state-of-the-art technology, next-level fan experiences, and unmatched design. At the heart of the venue is the Halo Board, a double-sided, 38,375-square-foot scoreboard that wraps the arena with 360-degree visuals, ensuring every seat feels like front row.

Fan spaces are fully tech-enabled, featuring in-seat charging, immersive lighting and lasers, and controller-style buttons that let fans interact with the Halo Board in real time. Seamless integration continues through the Intuit Dome app, where Game Face ID facial recognition provides frictionless access to concessions, clubs, and retail.

Located adjacent to the visiting team’s bench is The Wall!, 51 uninterrupted rows of pure fan energy, anchored by The Swell, 300 of the team’s most passionate supporters in a standing-room-only zone that quickly became one of the NBA’s most talked-about sections.

Outside the bowl, Intuit Dome features an 80,000-square-foot outdoor plaza anchored by a full-sized, regulation basketball court with a screen that stretches key-to-key. The plaza includes the team’s merchandise store and pieces from the public art program. Inside, more than 1,550 jerseys representing every California high school line the concourse.

In just its first year, Intuit Dome has already made history, hosting the Netflix debut of WWE Raw with a record-breaking 17,514 fans, UFC 311, the highest-grossing MMA event in California history, and FireAid, a $100 million benefit concert for wildfire recovery.

With these recognitions from Front Office Sports, Intuit Dome and the Clippers continue to lead the way in innovation, fan-first design, and redefining what’s possible in live entertainment.
