Allyson Felix is feted

A former educator, Pump has turned her passion of helping others into a reality for many girls and young women. 

Every year, Pump and the LadyLike Foundation do it up big to give young women a sense of purpose and to see that success can be at their fingertips by bringing in high-profile policymakers, newsmakers, and societal gamechangers to pour into them.

It’s a beautiful thing to witness and to be a part of. The 16th Annual Ladylike Women of Excellence Awards + Fashion Show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, which was held May 31, 2025, perfectly exemplifies what the LadyLike Foundation does. 

The gala featured a red carpet offer, an exhilarating show, and there seemed to be more than a handful of notable celebrities sprinkled throughout and making their way to the luncheon to show their support for the event, including track and field icon Allyson Felix. 

Felix really does not need any type of introduction, but for some people who might not be fully aware of her top accomplishments, here is a speedbump guide. She is a 14-time world champion, a 10-time national champion, and to add more contest to her stellar career, Felix is the winner of seven Olympic gold medals. 

Felix is also a member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Now that’s a pretty impressive resume. 

But for all her of incredible achievements, Felix, a keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Ladylike Women of Excellence Awards + Fashion Show, remains a kindred spirit, her megawatt, endearing smile lighting up every room she enters.     

Felix said she would define her career as one that she hopes was a reflection of her competitiveness and her goodwill.   

You know, I hope it’s one of having, you know, fought for other people, a fierce competitor, but really a heart for others,” Felix said.

Felix went on to say that being one of the honorees at the 16th Annual Ladylike Women of Excellence Awards + Fashion Show was humbling. 

“Oh, it’s huge,” Felix remarked. “You know, anything that’s…you know, about empowering young girls and working in the community, is so special to me. So to be honored, yeah, I’m very grateful.” 

Due to her enormous success and popularity as a track and field legend in the United States and globally, Felix serves as a role model for millions of girls and young women. With that responsibility, Felix has become a passionate advocate for equality in sports. 

Felix credits her roots of doing for others and giving back to two particular individuals.  

“I think probably my parents and the way they, you know, raised me and my brother,” said Felix. “We just… they’re people of service. And so it’s always been important to give back and to think about those coming behind you.”
