(News4usonline) – In a dominant performance, the Lakewood High School football team defeated Moore League rival Long Beach Jordan with a convincing 40-19 home win on Friday, Sept. 27. Lakewood got a big game from junior Gevani McCoy, who rushed for 179 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns.
McCoy also completed 6 of 12 passes for 153 yards and two more scores to give him 5 touchdowns on the evening. Lakewood took control of the game scoring 14 points in the second quarter and 13 points in the fourth and final period.
