The GOP is finally getting the big picture. Then again, maybe they are not. President Obama is not budging. The citizens of the United States have spoken. They are not budging either. And they are not too happy with what is going on in Congress.

People see through the games being played by lawmakers on Capitol Hill at their expense.

No, no matter what they do, they can’t blame this mess on Mr. Obama. This time it’s not going to work. Deception is reality. The reality of this situation is that Congress, rather the House of Repulsive People (Representatives) is holding the nation hostage all because they don’t want the blessing of affordable healthcare to be in the hands of people who badly need it.

Congress, particularly the GOP-led House has made a mockery of the American people the last few weeks. They lie and spread falsehoods instead of serving. Their “out to make the President fail at any cost” mentality is only hurting the  people they say they represent and puts our country in harm’s way.

This is not what America is about. This is not how we expect our government to work. More importantly, this is not what we expect from the legislative branch of our government to act. Right about now that branch of government is failing immensely in doing its job of paying the country’s bills and pretending to care about the American people.

No, this is about hate. This is about a self-serving platform. This is about abuse of the offices these individuals were elected to in the first place. These individuals do not speak for me or many other Americans they chime about representing. Actions speak louder than words. So far, the actions of Congress, especially in the chambers of the House of Rodents (Representatives), say they don’t give two pennies of thought about the American people.

That is why Mr. Obama cannot cave in. This is why Mr. Obama can’t bargain away the health of Americans with these bumbling idiots. There are too many lives at stake for Mr. Obama to go backdoor and wash his hands of the one piece of legislation tied to his legacy. His signature healthcare bill-the Affordable Care Act-is a must for millions of  Americans.

If it wasn’t so important the server would not have crashed because of the overwhelming response from people trying to sign up for the all-access health network. The lies the GOP have spread about the Affordable Care Act are not working. Mr. Obama is not fooled by these antics.

In a released statement by a White House spokesperson, Mr. Obama let it be known again that he is not in the mood to play games with Congress.

“The President has said repeatedly that Members of Congress don’t get to demand ransom for fulfilling their basic responsibilities to pass a budget and pay the nation’s bills,” according to White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage.   “Unfortunately, the latest proposal from House Republicans does just that in a partisan attempt to appease a small group of Tea Party Republicans who forced the government shutdown in the first place.  Democrats and Republicans in the Senate have been working in a bipartisan, good-faith effort to end the manufactured crises that have already harmed American families and business owners.  With only a couple days remaining until the United States exhausts its borrowing authority, it’s time for the House to do the same.”
