There is no doubt that Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Randy Foye has been causing ruckus. He’s been a huge contributor to the Clippers success lately. Foye is becoming that guy that the Clippers can confide in and rely on for help.

Foye is transforming into a player that the Clippers can depend on to make a play. We all know that Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are playmakers for the team, but Foye is silently making his presence known. For the month of March, Foye has been getting more comfortable shooting the ball. His shot attempts are on the rise this month.

“I’m getting more comfortable as the games go by, “said Foye. “I’m just taking it game by game- and trying to help my team win games.”

Foye was one of the reasons the Clippers were able to knock off Portland Friday night, (98-97) winning their 4th straight game in front of a sold out crowd at the Staples Center.

In the last three games, Foye has shot the ball forty-eight times. On Friday night against the Portland Trailblazers, Foye went on a rampage. He spilled in 20 points by scoring on 7-of-16 shot attempts and 5-of-10 from the 3-point arc. But almost all of his points scored were during a crucial time of the game.

“He’s played well for us, really well for us all season,” said Griffin. “He’s won a lot of games for us and he’s helped us win a lot of games, so we love him out there.”

Foye was the first Clipper to give them the lead last night against the Trailblazers in the second quarter. Then in the fourth quarter with just seconds left to play in the game, he found himself in a crunch time situation. Paul couldn’t get a shot off, so he passed the ball to Foye as the time clock was running down. Seconds later Foye shot the ball from three-point range and scored to put the Clips up by one, which was one of the reasons why they were able to get a victory.

“Randy is a rhythm player,” Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said after the game. “Getting that type of production from him is very important for us.”

It might be secure to say that Foye has earned the rights to be third options go to guy in the game. He has proven that he’s ready for the challenge. Especially after the key plays he made on Friday.

No one would have ever predicted that Foye would be the game changer with so many sexy names on the Clippers roster. No disrespect to Foye, but with Paul and Griffin on the floor, you just automatically think one of the two would take the big shot.

Like I’ve had said before and I’ll say it again, when the Clippers are playing great basketball it will be very hard to compete against them. If you are a team in the West you should be concerned to face them in the playoffs.
