LOS ANGELES-CA (News4usonline) – Already with a postseason record for the most wins when trailing in a series, the Los Angeles Clippers failed to extend that mark as their season came to an end following a 130-103 loss Wednesday night. Finding themselves trailing throughout the entire game, the Clippers failed to force a Game 7 as the Phoenix Suns and Chris Paul advance to the franchise’s first NBA Finals appearance since 1993. “Extremely proud of this team,” Clippers guard Reggie Jackson said. “It sucks that it’s cut short, cut short of our ultimate goal this year of winning a championship.…

LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) – This entire postseason run by the Los Angeles Clippers can be summed up in one word: comebacks. To kick things off the Clippers found themselves in a 2-0 hole against the Dallas Mavericks and the wizardry of Luka Doncic before taking him and the Mavs down in a Game 7 victory. In the second round, Los Angeles managed to end a 51-year-old playoff curse and rattled off four straight victories against the Utah Jazz in route to reaching the team’s first-ever Western Conference Finals appearance. Now the team must pull off one of the most historic…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) – Hosting their first-ever Western Conference Finals home playoff game, the Los Angeles Clippers found themselves in a similar position in Game 3 of this series. In a 0-2 hole as they were against the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz, the Clippers were staring at familiar territory. Lose Game 3, and their wish for an NBA Finals appearance becomes a pipe dream. After losing a gut-wrenching Game 2 in Phoenix when a last-second dunk by Deandre Ayton occurred after an unfortunate series of events, the Clippers bounced back with a 106-92 victory Thursday night against the Suns.…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) – History is complete. The Los Angeles Clippers battled back in another epic comeback Friday night in front of a sellout crowd at Staples Center against the Utah Jazz and advanced to the franchise’s first-ever Western Conference Finals appearance in 50 years. After being down 25 points midway through the third quarter, the Clippers on the back of unsung hero Terance Mann turned around one of the largest postseason comebacks in history and closed out the series against the Jazz with a 131-119 win in Game 6. Without superstar Kawhi Leonard for the second straight game this…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) With their backs up against the walls for a second straight series, the Los Angeles Clippers continue to prove they are up for the fight that a postseason march to the championship entails. Down 2-0 against the Utah Jazz heading into a pivotal Game 3, the Clippers defended home court Saturday afternoon at STAPLES Center in a 132-106 beatdown. After battling back from a 2-0 series deficit against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of these playoffs, the Clippers did something Saturday afternoon that they struggled to do in their first-playoff series up until Game 7.…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) Despite receiving news prior to tip-off that one of their best players will miss the next four to six weeks with an injury, the shorthanded Los Angeles Sparks handled business Thursday night at the Los Angeles Convention in front of fans for the first time this season. Hosting the Indiana Fever (1-9), the Sparks (3-3) dominated the game from start to finish in a 98-63 thrashing. With the news coming hours before game time, the Sparks learned that their former MVP Nneka Ogwumike will be out for the foreseeable future after suffering a left knee sprain in…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) – They say there is no place like home. That’s unless you are the Dallas Mavericks. Playing in their fourth game of the year at Staples Center, including the third of these playoffs, the Mavericks stayed undefeated in Los Angeles against the Clippers as they secured a critical Game 5 win. Behind another huge scoring night by their superstar Luka Doncic, the Mavericks head home to Dallas with a 3-2 series lead after their 105-100 victory Wednesday night. Despite the huge night for Doncic, the young star felt his game down the stretch could need to improve.…
LOS ANGELES (News4usonline) – If there is an answer for Luka Doncic, the Los Angeles Clippers don’t have it. After watching the young stud drop a triple-double in Game 1 of the series, Doncic continued his torrid scoring as the Slovenian dropped 39 points in route to helping the Dallas Mavericks take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Now as the series shifts to Dallas for the next two games, the Clippers must bounce back from a 127-121 Game 2 loss or risk facing a daunting 3-0 uphill battle for the rest of the series. Despite a heroic effort from Kawhi…
The Los Angeles Clippers ended their season exactly how they wanted to be: healthy. Now the postseason is here. The Clippers wound up as the fourth seed in the Western Conference. Their opponent in the first round of the NBA playoffs is a tough and tested Dallas Mavericks team led by Luka Doncic. In a rematch of last season’s first round matchup that saw the Clippers dispose of Doncic and the Mavericks in six games, Los Angeles just wants to take care of business, and that’s to win and then move on. Having finished the season with an overall record…
LOS ANGELES – Did the Los Angeles Clippers prove anything by beating a Los Angeles Lakers squad minus one of its superstars and saw another go down with an injury in this highly anticipated May 6 matchup at STAPLES Center? Actually, with guard Dennis Schroder, LeBron James out of the lineup and Anthony Davis forced to leave the game early, the Clippers rolled to an easy 118-94 win. So what does this win mean to the Clippers? It means the game would have been even more lopsided if the Clippers had not turned the ball over 22 times. On the…
Training camp for the Los Angeles Sparks is in full go mode. The Sparks began holding their practices at the Academy USA center in Glendale, just a couple of weeks ahead of the WNBA celebrating its 25th season. With the regular season set to start on May 14, the Sparks will open their season against the Dallas Wings at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Los Angeles will look to integrate a plethora of new young players onto the roster as three incoming rookies and several free-agent signings join the squad for their first season in purple and gold. For general…
For the Los Angeles Clippers, this season hasn’t been a story of two superstars carrying the team to the finish line. Instead, it’s been one of a team effort where different players night in and night out have picked up the slack when one of their star players has been down. For head coach Tyronn Lue, his coaching staff and himself have been pleased with how the team has stuck together despite playing without their all-star players at times. “Our guys have stepped up all year with all of the injuries that we’ve had and it’s just good to see,”…
Playing in their 12th back-to-back set of the season, the Los Angeles Clippers (42-19) looked to their bench players as head coach Tyronn Lue rested a majority of his starters as the grueling shortened season schedule has taken its toll on the team’s veteran members. Taking on the Memphis Grizzlies (29-28) after playing Tuesday night in Portland, the Clippers fought back for their 24th home win of the season and seventh straight victory at STAPLES Center as the Grizzlies could not hold off a blazing hot Clippers team. With a 117-105 victory, Los Angeles is still within striking distance of…
LOS ANGELES – Welcoming fans back into STAPLES Center for the first time in over a year, the Los Angeles Clippers gave the few fans in attendance a show to remember. With only six home games left on the regular season schedule, the Clippers (40-19) dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves (15-43) 124-105 to earn the team’s 40th win of the year. The 40th win on the year now gives the Clippers their 10th straight season with 40 plus victories, which is currently the longest such streak in the NBA. For Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue, the energy that the fans brought…
