LOS ANGELES, CA-The dual track and field meet between the USC Trojans and rival UCLA Bruins turned up mixed results for both teams on Sunday, April 28. The Trojans’ women track squad made it look easy in recording a runaway 90-69 win against the Bruins at Loker Field on USC’s campus.
UCLA’s men’s team wrapped up a 102-60 victory as both squads concluded their regular season finale before Pac-12 Conference championships. For the USC women’s team, the standouts on the day belonged to Twanisha Terry, who smoked the field in the 100 meters with a blistering time of 10.99 seconds, and versatile runner Anna Cockrell.
Cockrell finished second in the women’s 100-meter hurdles (13.04) and flew by the field in the 400-meter hurdles race (56.44) and was part of the Trojans’ 4×400 relay-winning squad (3:36.70). UCLA’s men wrapped up an easy and lopsided conference victory.
