
It’s not suppose to be this easy. But it was for freshman Davis Webb. Webb lit up the Arizona State defense for 403 yards, tying a bowl record in the midst of leading Texas Tech to a 37-23 National University Holiday Bowl win at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium. Webb also completed four touchdown passes against the Sun Devils. Texas Tech made an early lead stand against Arizona State. Webb, who completed 28 of 41 passes, completed his touchdown passes all in the first two quarters of play. The Sun Devils simply had no answers for the frosh signal-caller.
